TIRED OF LONG GROCERY LINES?
So Are We!
Grocery stores are cutting staff, forcing shoppers into long lines or frustrating self-checkouts. It’s time to demand better!
Everyone hates long grocery checkout lines. Whether you’re a shopper or a worker, the lines are only getting longer, and help is getting harder to find.
Corporate greed is the real issue. These companies are cutting staff and pushing self-checkout to maximize profits at the expense of both shoppers and workers.
Better staffing = Better shopping. When stores invest in workers, shoppers get better service and a smoother shopping experience.

What People Are Saying
-
"On a good day there is one register open. They have two self-checkout stations and they usually only have one open instead of the two which really makes it stressful and over-crowded."

"I stopped shopping at Albertsons when it became apparent that they were willing to put far more effort into appeasing executives than improving the customer experience. Try slashing a bunch of corporate positions and bonuses to increase profits (we all know any cuts made have nothing to do with lowering prices). Frontline employees actually matter to customers and we're sick of seeing them mistreated and under-appreciated."

“Despite rising prices and profits, we as customers face longer lines like at my local Ralphs where I see fewer cashiers. We all need this call to action for better staffing and support for workers. Let's advocate for investments that benefit both customers and employees, creating a fairer shopping experience for all.”

"Stater Bros. is my store of choice for my family for years. I love all the employees and it's refreshing to go to a market where you are treated like part of the family. However as of late, my shopping experience has not been the same, staffing isn't what it once was. Bagging my own groceries and lack of items on shelves have been a noticeable difference."

"I can say that I have not, and never will, use the self-check-out line. Ralph's replaced several cashier lines with self-check-out machines. People need jobs and machines don't pay bills."

"Often at the store I go to, there are no registers open and the only option is self checkout, which really bothers me. I wish they would always have at least one register open. I prefer to check out with a cashier. The staff at this store are all so nice and hardworking, but it’s not pleasant to shop when there’s not enough staff in the store."

"I shop at my local Ralph’s because of the interaction between me and the staff. And when I can’t find something I know I can ask for help. But today it seemed like just a few staff who were all busy helping customers. There used to be employees walking around available to help anyone who needed it. For me personally, I would rather stores get rid of self checkout and go back to quality service."

“The lines were really long and there were not enough employees. They definitely needed more people working registers. Unfortunately this has been a problem on multiple occasions when I have shopped here. The employees are so nice and I feel bad when people are rude to them about the lack of staffing.”

There are no baskets even if I need a few items. It takes about 20 minutes to 30 minutes to shop and just because I have a few items they told me to go to use self check out. I’m an old man. I don’t know how to do that and I’m not working over here.
